History of Jiu-Jitsu ( Part 1 )

Before reaching the coast of Brazil and becoming famous worldwide, there were many theories that Jiu-Jitsu appeared more than a thousand years ago. There are several hypotheses about the beginning of Jiu-Jitsu, and many people agree that traces of Jiu-Jitsu date back to more than 2000 BC, from Roman and Egyptian wrestlers Ancient.

There are some widely supported theories that Buddhism significantly influenced the development of Jiu-Jitsu. When traveling to spread Buddhism, the monks in India needed to learn how to protect themselves. However, because of  Buddhist lessons that it is not allowed to harm or hurt others. So, the monks created martial art that controlled the opponent but did not hurt the opponent. After that, It spread throughout China (known as " grappling'', Tai Chi).

 Jiu-Jitsu came to Japan and developed as a fighting form for Samurai in war before developing into a highly competitive sport.
